Day 7 Thursday Cairns – Ayton

We got on the road at 7:25am everyone moved out of the park on time. We had the departure photos out the front of the caravan park. We are heading for Mossman Gorge with McKiney's in the lead and Budd's tail end charlie. We arrived at Mossman Gorge at 10:00am caught the shuttle bus to the walking track which was 2.7k circuit in a rain forest very slushy. Next stop Daintree and we arrived at 12:00 midday so we decided to have lunch on the side of the road there.

Next stop Daintree and we arrived at 12:00 midday so we decided to have lunch on the side of the road there. Heading out to the ferry to cross the Daintree river the line to get onto the ferry was very long. We stopped into the Daintree Discovery Center decided not to go through so we continued on. On to Cape Tribulation and found a nice board walk there and a spot to have a look at the beach. We are now on the Bloomfield track which is a bit rough and lots of bends and very steep hills. We arrived at Ayton at 4:50pm so we decided to make it a day and stay at this cute caravan park. Everyone was a bit tired as we have had a big day with walks. Little Ian Bamforth got nominated for the shakel tonight for disappearing at the ferry and now one could find him.
